Letters to a young poet

This story was nothing more than Rainer Maria Rilke telling Kappus to go within yourself to write poetry.  What advice.  Just go within and you will find the answer.  I can think of no one ever finding any kind of help or solace from this book because the author does not say anything of real importance or relevance.  I could have written a story and said to go into nature and find yourself.  This book was nothing but a waste of time for me.
